About Me

Hi, my name is Raluca and I am a doula in Leipzig. Besides being a doula, I am also a mother of 3, an advocate for breastfeeding and an avid baby wearer. I have been providing information, care and support for mothers in the last 4 years and I am very passionate about it.

Soon after the birth of my first child, I realized not all women have empowering birthing experiences. My friends started to open up to me about the fears they faced during their pregnancies and the lack of support they encountered. Those fears where never addressed and they were carried into the delivery room, creating a very stressful environment and therefore depriving the mother, their partner and their new baby of much needed peace, comfort and support. Birth is a beautiful thing and in those intense moments, the most vulnerable moments a woman will ever find herself in, she can find strength she never knew she had. Birth matters, it is an inevitable life changing moment that a mother never forgets. Therefore, a good support system is essential.

I am not a miracle worker, but I will do my best to provide the parents with information and physical and emotional support in anything related to birth and beyond.
